ABOUT THE ARTIST
DANIEL BROPHY

Born in 1984 and raised in New Jersey, USA, the seventh of eight siblings, Daniel Brophy grew up going to church, the local library, and baseball games. He currently resides in Denmark with his wife Anna Bolette and their twin daughters, Thora and Ada. Here, he runs an art studio and gallery, American Dream Gallery.

Daniel Brophy is a fine artist working in the mixed-media form (layering ink, paint, and collage on canvas). The mystery of the universe fuels his fantasy. Where do we come from? Where are we going? In the attic of his mind resides a village of dreamers all interconnected and scraping an existence. Daniel Brophy paints fantasy worlds, alien temples, and scenes from history and culture. He also makes art about the act and passion of creation itself and of artists that have inspired him.

Daniel Brophy has a double Bachelors degree in Fine Arts and Art History from Kean University, New Jersey, USA. His work has been exhibited at solo and group exhibitions in New York City, New Jersey, Miami, Denmark, Ireland, and Poland. He has worked as an art installer at The Newark Museum of Art, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, Index Art Center, and The Arts Guild of New Jersey.

ABOUT DANIEL BROPHY
